2027 Summer Student Nurse Intern Program
About The Position
Hartford HealthCare is hiring qualified nursing students for an eight-week, full-time, paid summer internship starting June 1, 2027. The program immerses nursing students in a specialty area of practice and combines hands-on clinical experience, classroom learning, and professional development while giving participants the opportunity to explore the role of a Registered Nurse at Hartford HealthCare. Eligible applicants are nursing students enrolled in a two-year or four-year nursing program who expect to graduate in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028. Students in accelerated nursing programs may be unable to participate if their schedules do not allow them to complete the full-time, eight-week internship. Applications are due January 31, 2027. Applicants must submit a resume highlighting clinical experience or related work, a cover letter addressing their interest in the program and each selected specialty, and one recommendation letter from a nursing school faculty member. Completed applications will be reviewed after the deadline, and selected candidates may be contacted for an interview.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BSN or ASN nursing program.
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Submit a resume highlighting clinical experience or related work.
- Submit a cover letter explaining interest in the program and each specialty applied to.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a nursing school faculty member.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred GPA of 3.2 or better.
