About The Position

Davenport’s Summer Intern Program provides students with business experience and exposure to the Investment Services industry. Interns work in a team environment, develop confidence interacting with professional staff, build a positive work ethic, learn about professional careers in the industry, and expand their personal and professional networks. Participation is limited to one summer. Davenport hires several interns for assignments across departments such as Financial Services, Compliance, Fixed Income, Marketing, Client Services, and Information Technology. Each intern is assigned to a department, with attempts made to match assignments to students’ majors and career interests. Intern positions are paid at $20 per hour. The program includes weekly Lunch & Learn sessions with senior-level department representatives, as well as volunteer and networking/social events. Daily responsibilities vary by department. Because Davenport handles confidential customer information and operates in a highly regulated environment, work assignments may be limited.

Requirements

Must be scheduled to graduate between December 2027 and May 2029.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Hardworking and proactive.
Positive attitude, conscientious, and polite.
Professional appearance.
Dependable and flexible.
