About The Position

This position is for a Summer Program Monitor, estimated to start as early as June 29, 2026, and end on or about August 21, 2026, or upon completion of duties. Dates may change depending on when sites begin programs. This role involves traveling to summer feeding sites to conduct reviews and ensure compliance with program requirements. The position is funded by the Nutrition Services Revolving Account and USDA SFSP Reimbursements.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively independently.
Ability to travel throughout Fitchburg and surrounding communities as needed to summer feeding sites.
Ability to perform duties at each site once during the first week of each site's operation and once more within four weeks of each site or before the site closes, whichever comes first.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as SFSP Monitor preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete all required Department of Secondary and Elementary Education Summer Program Monitor reviews per sponsored site (minimum of two per site).
Work with Summer Program sponsor/coordinator to develop action plans due to results of monitor reviews if needed.
Attend a two-hour mandatory training session in June (time/date TBD).
