About The Position

Ayers Saint Gross is seeking talented students for its summer internship program across all offices. Interns work alongside design leaders and clients on meaningful work that contributes to project success. They are actively involved in developing architectural projects from conception through construction documents. The role offers an opportunity to contribute creatively in a dynamic, collaborative studio environment with experienced higher education architects and planners.

Ayers Saint Gross is an internationally recognized design firm specializing in architecture, planning, landscape architecture, graphic design, interior architecture, and space analytics. Founded in 1912, the firm works primarily with mission-driven clients, particularly colleges, universities, and cultural institutions. It has over 140 professionals and is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, with offices in Washington, D.C., and Tempe, Arizona.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited degree program in architecture, design, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Provide a portfolio demonstrating strong design and technical understanding of architecture.
• Be familiar with 3D modeling, rendering, presentation, and design software such as SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and Revit.
• Have solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Be able to work well both in a team environment and independently.
• Have excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
• Have exceptional relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of architectural projects from conception through construction documents.
• Work alongside design leaders and clients on work that supports project success.
• Contribute to a collaborative design process.
