About The Position

CIBC’s Summer Internship Program is a 10-week experience running from June through August, designed to complement academic training and support interns’ career aspirations. The program centers on Learn, Connect, Grow, offering hands-on assignments, structured training, technical and analytical skill development, networking across the bank, mentorship, leadership support, and community outreach. The work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview. The People, Culture & Talent intern will support early talent program coordination, project management, program metrics, and collaboration with internal partners. The position is based at 120 S LaSalle St, Floor 8, Chicago, Illinois. The expected hourly rate for the Illinois market is $25.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. The role is a temporary, fixed-term position with 40 weekly hours and an expected end date of August 13, 2027. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Requirements

Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.

Responsibilities

Assist in organizing and executing early talent programs, including leader connect sessions, peer networking events, and professional development workshops.
Coordinate with the early talent team to complete ad hoc projects throughout the program.
Collect feedback, track participation, and compile data to support continuous improvement of the program.
Build relationships across the HR team and cross-functional teams to support projects and build relationships across the bank.
