About The Position

We are seeking a creative and driven Employee Experience Intern to join our growing team. This is a hands-on internship designed to give you real-world exposure to B2B marketing in the cybersecurity and professional services space. For 10 weeks, you will report directly to our People Operations Team and gain exposure to core areas of SecureIT’s brand presence: brand consistency, content, PR, and social media. This internship is ideal for students who are passionate about communications or business and want practical exposure in a fast-paced, technical industry. Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program at a Virginia college or university in a relevant field is required. Additionally, candidates must be local to or able to commute to our Reston, VA office; this is a 10-week in-person paid program starting June 1 and ending August 7th.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: Marketing, Communications, or Advertising, Business Administration or Management, Public Relations or Journalism, Digital Media or Graphic Design, A related field with demonstrated interest in marketing or content creation
  • Have a genuine interest in marketing strategy, brand building, or content creation
  • A self-starter who doesn’t hesitate to take initiative
  • A strong writer who can match tone to audience — whether it is polished internal communications or a casual LinkedIn post
  • Are detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Are proactive, creative, and bring fresh ideas to the table
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program at a Virginia college or university in a relevant field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with any of the following (a plus, not a requirement): LinkedIn marketing, HubSpot or similar CRM/marketing tools, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, or WordPress
  • Prior internship or coursework experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or communications
  • Experience creating graphics, slide decks, or visual assets for professional use
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing or professional services industries
  • A portfolio of writing samples, social media work, or other communication projects

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating branded materials such as PowerPoint templates, proposal assets, and internal documents
  • Support the organization and development of a centralized library of brand assets
  • Help review and align existing materials to established brand guidelines
  • Assist with drafting and editing content for internal communications, social media, and marketing materials
  • Support the coordination and scheduling of social media posts and digital content
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target markets to inform marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with team members to gather input and insights for content development
  • Assist with tracking basic marketing metrics such as engagement and website activity
  • Provide support for event coordination, webinars, and internal initiatives
