About The Position

Interns will be selected for a position in either Guest Services, Housekeeping, Retail, Attractions, Entertainment, or Food & Beverage during the interview process and are expected to perform the full responsibilities of that role as outlined in the department's job description. As a Summer Hospitality Intern at Great Wolf Lodge, this 10-week program will accelerate your career readiness by immersing you in the day-to-day operations of a leading hospitality and entertainment brand, while offering hands-on experience, real mentorship, and a direct pathway to full-time opportunities you won't find in a classroom. Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be currently enrollment in an associate degree or bachelor's degree program during internship program
  • Available to complete at minimum a 10-week program (End of May to Early August)
  • Experience utilizing basic math skills with ability to add, subtract multiply and divide
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals
  • Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands; including evenings, weekends, and Holidays
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization in the US
  • No housing or relocation will be provided
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in hospitality, business or a related field
  • Previous experience demonstrating strong customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction
  • Previous experience with cash transactions and Point of Sale systems
  • Proven teamwork skills
  • Enthusiastic and energetic

Responsibilities

  • Enhance Guest Experience: Greet and engage guests while maintaining professional presentation, Respond promptly to guest inquiries and escalate issues to leadership, Enhances the guest experience through providing exceptional customer service.
  • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and asset protection protocols, Participate in required safety and emergency training, Report any incidents or hazards to leadership, Maintain organized, clean work areas that comply with health and safety standards.
  • Operations: Perform all duties and responsibilities outlined in the department-specific job description for your assigned area (Guest Services, Housekeeping, Retail, Attractions, Entertainment, or Food & Beverage), Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Program Responsibilities: Engage in cross-departmental job shadows to build working knowledge of operations outside your assigned area, Collaborate with your intern cohort to develop, execute, and present a group project to lodge leadership by program end, Complete required on-the-job, self-paced, and classroom learning for your assigned department throughout the duration of the program, Actively participate in networking events and engagement opportunities with program participants at your lodge and across the company, Take ownership of your professional development by applying learnings in resort operations, leadership, and business acumen to your daily work.
