About The Position

This position will provide general support to various services in the Community and Family Services setting of a Ministry Unit. The incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties. As directed, support pre-planned program activities for the community (food bank, crafts, sports, games, music, homework stations, Bible-based devotions, community church, meetings etc.). Work in a team setting supporting various tasks and activities. Provide general administrative support greeting visitors, supporting reception, forwarding visitors, etc. Provide general assistance during public relations events and regular campaigns. Maintain strict confidentiality of all matters pertaining to the program participants. Adhere to policies and procedures relating to the programs. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completion of some high school coursework
  • Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated/disciplined
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and participate as an active and responsible team member in a cooperative team environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral)
