2028 Summer Associate Program - Real Estate - Atlanta
About The Position
Seyfarth is seeking 2Ls for its 2028 Summer Program as Summer Associates in the Real Estate department in its Atlanta office. The program combines practical learning with a specialized educational curriculum. Summer Associates are assigned to one department for the entire summer, providing focused experience in a particular practice area, while also having opportunities to connect with attorneys across departments and firm-wide. They work with Seyfarth attorneys on real client matters and receive individualized feedback and coaching from partner and associate mentors. Applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, law school transcript when available, and a writing sample. Compensation is based on an annualized salary of $225,000.
Requirements
- Complete one year of law school by spring 2027 and expect to receive a JD in May 2029.
- Demonstrated academic achievement.
- Appreciation for collaboration and teamwork.
- Clear interest in Real Estate, evidenced by coursework, certificate programs, or prior work experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on actual client cases and projects.
- Attend client meetings.
- Shadow attorneys on a variety of deals and cases for hands-on learning.
- Participate in a specialized training curriculum, including substantive legal seminars and training in ethics, client service, marketing, legal writing, communication, and finance.
- Attend practical learning opportunities such as depositions, court appearances, closings, and client meetings.
