About The Position
Seyfarth is seeking 2Ls to join its 2028 Summer Program as Summer Associates in the Litigation department at its Atlanta office. Summer Associates work closely with partners and attorneys on real client matters and receive individualized feedback and coaching from partner and associate mentors. Associates are assigned to a specific department for the entire summer, providing deeper experience in that practice area while also offering opportunities to connect with attorneys across departments and offices. The program combines a specialized curriculum with practical learning opportunities to bridge academic learning and legal practice. Summer Associates work on active cases and client projects, attend client meetings, and shadow attorneys on a variety of deals and cases. Training includes substantive legal seminars and instruction in ethics, client service, marketing, legal writing, communication, and finance. Applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, law school transcript when available, and a writing sample. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia. Compensation is based on an annualized salary of $225,000.
Requirements
- Complete one year of law school by spring 2027 and expect to receive a JD in May 2029.
- Demonstrated academic achievement.
- Appreciation for collaboration and teamwork.
- Clear interest in Litigation, evidenced by coursework, certificate programs, or prior work experience.
- Submit a resume, cover letter, undergraduate transcript, law school transcript when available, and a writing sample.
Responsibilities
- Work on actual client cases and projects.
- Attend client meetings.
- Shadow attorneys on a variety of deals and cases for hands-on learning.
- Participate in specialized training, including substantive legal seminars and training in ethics, client service, marketing, legal writing, communication, and finance.
- Attend practical learning opportunities such as depositions, court appearances, and closings.
