About The Position

The Summer Analyst will join Lazard’s Houston Power, Energy & Infrastructure Banking Group, a dedicated team that provides financial advisory services to clients. The Houston office is one of the primary hubs of Lazard’s global energy practice, which works across oil and gas exploration, production, refining, midstream, pipelines, and alternative energy. Assignments may include M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets. Day-to-day work depends on the analyst’s prior experience and abilities and may include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, developing client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. Summer Analysts are expected to spend nine weeks at the Firm.

The internship begins with a week-long comprehensive training program in New York. Participants receive formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and opportunities to take part in social and networking events with bankers across the Firm.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a US university and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date in December 2028 or May/June 2029.
• Top academic performance.
• Motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
• Strong quantitative background.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities
