2028 Summer Analyst - Houston Power, Energy & Infrastructure
About The Position
The Summer Analyst will join Lazard’s Houston Power, Energy & Infrastructure Banking Group, a dedicated team providing financial advisory services to clients. The Houston office is a primary hub of Lazard’s global energy practice, which is active in oil and gas exploration, production, refining, midstream, pipelines, and alternative energy. The group’s assignments include M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets. Summer Analysts are expected to spend nine weeks at the Firm. The internship begins with a week-long comprehensive training program in New York and includes formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and social and networking events with bankers across the Firm.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a U.S. university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with expected graduation in December 2028 or May/June 2029.
- Top academic performance.
- Motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis and modeling.
- Conduct company and industry research.
- Participate in developing client presentations.
- Interact with senior bankers and clients.
- Contribute to assignments involving M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets.
