About The Position

TrueBridge is offering a highly selective 10-week Summer Analyst internship for rising college juniors or seniors interested in venture capital. Summer Analysts join the investment team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and contribute analysis to live opportunities across the firm’s fund, direct, and secondary investment strategies. The role provides exposure to a broad cross-section of the venture market, meaningful workstreams, investment team meetings, and access to venture firms, founders, and TrueBridge’s work with Forbes on the Midas List and Next Billion-Dollar Startups. Each analyst is paired with an investment team mentor and completes structured training on venture capital fundamentals.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Demonstrate interest in venture capital and technology through internships, coursework, or extracurricular activities in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment management.
• Have strong financial and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and AI-native tools.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team, with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for technology and investing.
• Have U.S. work authorization.
• Reside in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area or be willing to relocate there for the summer.

• Prior financial modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prospective fund, direct, and secondary investments through manager, company, and performance analysis and modeling.
• Build financial models and benchmarking analyses to assess returns, risk, and portfolio construction.
• Help prepare investment memos and one-page summaries communicating recommendations to the investment committee.
• Track the performance of existing fund and direct investments and support portfolio monitoring analysis.
• Build and maintain TrueBridge’s proprietary data on transactions, valuations, and the venture market.
• Research companies, managers, sectors, and emerging technology themes, and share findings with the investment team.
• Use AI-native tools to accelerate research and analysis.
• Take on projects across the investment team, including work on the Forbes Midas List and Next Billion-Dollar Startups.
