About The Position

Lazard is hiring a 2028 Summer Analyst to join its Charlotte Investment Banking Group. The role is on a dedicated team focused on advising clients in the industrial software sector, covering companies whose software powers the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the physical world. The team sits within Lazard’s broader Technology Group and works across areas such as engineering and design, manufacturing and supply chain, and asset performance and infrastructure.

Summer Analysts join a close-knit Charlotte team of approximately 10 and work directly with senior bankers, taking on meaningful responsibility. Day-to-day work depends on prior experience and abilities and may include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, contributing to client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. Assignments may involve M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, and capital markets. The internship lasts nine weeks and begins with a week-long training program in New York before the analyst joins the Industrial Software team in Charlotte. The program also includes formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and social and networking events with bankers across the firm.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a U.S. university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date in December 2028 or May/June 2029.
