About the position
PDT Partners is seeking talented engineering students for Software Engineering focused internships. Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior developers on technically-challenging projects
- Design, develop, debug, and test software components for handling financial data, real-time events, and batch processing
- Implement client and server-side solutions for projects
- Solve problems that don't have well-defined solutions, using creativity and exploring new technologies
- Learn about financial markets, risk metrics, and portfolio management
- Gain knowledge in trading technologies like FIX messaging and order management systems
- Construct, maintain, and analyze large-scale data sets
Requirements
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other highly-technical field of study
- Undergraduate Juniors up to Masters' students
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to work on technically-challenging projects
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Willingness to learn about financial markets, risk metrics, and portfolio management
- Familiarity with trading technologies like FIX messaging and order management systems
- Experience in constructing, maintaining, and analyzing large-scale data sets
