About the position
We are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our small and nimble Network Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, building, and operating our next-generation network infrastructure to support our quantitative trading business. You will also own the network platform roadmap and collaborate with other teams on projects and improvements. Additionally, you will optimize performance, propose automation and monitoring tools, manage capacity planning, and ensure network security.
Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and operate the next-generation network infrastructure for the research-driven quantitative trading business, utilizing both on-prem and cloud technologies.
- Take ownership of the network platform roadmap and collaborate with other teams on projects and improvements.
- Optimize the performance, latency, and resilience of the environment, propose and implement automation and monitoring tools, and manage capacity planning.
- Proactively identify and address problems, taking ownership of incident response and escalations.
- Mentor, coach, and collaborate with the team and the company.
- Strengthen network security through testing and configuring.

- Competitive salary range of $175,000 to $225,000 (excluding potential bonuses)
- Factors such as years of experience, education level, skill set, and external factors may impact the agreed-upon salary within the range.
