About the position
PDT Partners is seeking an analytical and collaborative professional to join their Finance, Accounting and Treasury team. The role involves various responsibilities such as daily counterparty exposure and margin analysis, monitoring financing costs, fund accounting and compliance reporting, and involvement in the setup of new products and funds. The associate will work closely with the team and other departments within the company. Responsibilities
- Manage the daily counterparty margin requirements, including understanding margin rules and methodologies and helping to negotiate new rates with counterparties
- Analyze and optimize financing costs across counterparties
- Help to analyze, understand, and manage FX exposure for the funds
- Liaise with the prime brokers, custodian bank, administrator, and other counterparties
- Create mid-month and end-of-month NAV packs that include NAV calculations that shadow the Administrator
- Review cash, dividend, and P&L reconciliations in support of the NAV reconciliations
- Prepare certain regulatory filings (Form PF, PQR, BE-185, etc)
- Provide financial data for third parties, including investors and trading counterparties
- Lead FACT on new product launches and integration into existing PDT systems
- Lead ad hoc projects to improve efficiencies or revamp processes in the group

- Experience in daily counterparty exposure and margin analysis
- Strategic thinking about financing costs of funds
- Fund accounting and compliance reporting experience
- Ability to set up new products, counterparties, and funds
- Familiarity with treasury functions
- Ability to work closely with various teams including Treasurer, CFO, fund operations, legal and compliance, investor relations, and operational risk management
- Understanding of margin rules and methodologies
- Negotiation skills for new rates with counterparties
- Knowledge of FX exposure management
- Experience liaising with prime brokers, custodian bank, administrator, and other counterparties
- Familiarity with NAV calculations and reconciliations
- Ability to prepare regulatory filings
- Proficiency in providing financial data to third parties
- Project management skills for new product launches and process improvements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
