About The Position

Child Care of the Berkshires is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Substitute Teacher to join their team at Magic Seasons (Adams, MA). This role provides instructional and classroom support in an early childhood education setting by assisting with lesson implementation, supervising children, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment, and promoting students' social, emotional, and cognitive development. The Substitute Teacher collaborates with the lead teacher to support daily classroom routines and encourage positive learning experiences.

Requirements

High school degree (or equivalent)
18 years of age
Dependability, maturity and flexibility
Good health, free of contagious diseases and record of up-to-date immunization
Nurturing skills with children
Cooperativeness with adults
Commitment to professional development
Ability to maintain confidentiality while supporting the overall mission, values, and goals of Child Care of the Berkshires
Ability to provide documentation of good physical and mental health, freedom from communicable diseases and tuberculosis, and evidence of up-to-date immunizations
Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, and lift and carry children weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to move quickly, maintain visual contact with broad area, and get up and down from the floor, and engage in a variety of physical activities with the children
Mature and have good mental health in order to meet the mental demands of teaching
