About The Position

Easterseals Florida is hiring a Substitute Teacher Assistant for The School for Limitless Learning, a program with a play-based curriculum and inclusive approach to education for children who are neurodiverse or have related disabilities. The role provides essential support in creating a nurturing, stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment. The substitute fills in during staff absences and vacations, and during periods of high client census.

This is an as-needed position, not a full-time position. Work is scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on an as-needed basis. The stated pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC).
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training in early childhood education.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusionary learning environment.
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Help recognize and address each child's individual needs by adapting teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with the lead educator to maintain open and effective communication with parents and families.
• Fill in during staff absences and vacations, and during periods of high client census.
