Substitute Teacher
About The Position
The South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE) is accepting applications for substitute teachers. Successful candidates will be added to the SSRCE substitute list and may select the schools where they wish to substitute. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Education degree and a Nova Scotia Teaching License. Applicants with a bachelor's degree but no Bachelor of Education degree are encouraged to apply for a Permit to Teach. Current active SSRCE substitute teachers do not need to reapply. Applicants should provide a résumé, a concise covering letter describing relevant qualifications and experience, and contact information for three recent professional references. Successful applicants must submit a Child Abuse Registry check and a Criminal Record Check-Vulnerable Sector check before employment.
