About The Position

Heritage Christian Academy's Upper Campus is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our team. As a private Christian school, we are committed to providing our students with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college and beyond. The Substitute Teacher will play a critical role in ensuring that our students continue to receive the education they deserve when their regular teacher is absent.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
• Teaching experience at the middle or high school level preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
• Commitment to the mission and values of Heritage Christian Academy

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher in a clear and engaging manner
• Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment that promotes learning
• Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures
• Communicate with school administrators and other teachers as needed
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the substitute teaching assignment
