About The Position
Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year in the Rio Grande Valley, TX. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $145 per day, and make a positive impact on students' lives. As a substitute teacher, you will be a positive role model, sparking a love for learning and helping students realize their potential. Requirements
- At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
- Completed 48+ college credit hours.
- Confident in managing a classroom of students.
- Willing to step in where needed.
- Pass state & federal background checks.
- Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities
- Manage a classroom of students.
- Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
- Cover lesson plans and act as a role model for students.
