About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers in the Garland and surrounding Dallas area for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $135 per day, and make a positive impact on students' lives. As a substitute teacher, you will be a role model, spark a love for learning, and potentially create opportunities for permanent positions at K-12 schools. Kokua Education provides support daily from 6 am to 8 pm and values the unique experiences and perspectives that substitute teachers bring to the classroom.

Requirements

At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
Completed 48+ college credit hours.
Confident in managing a classroom of students.
Willingness to step in where needed (lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, proctoring).
Pass state & federal background checks.
Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.
Include all relevant experience working with students on your resume.
