About The Position

BASIS Washington DC is building a pool of qualified, reliable substitute teachers to provide classroom coverage on an as-needed basis. Substitute Teachers step in when teachers are absent and help maintain continuity of instruction and a high-quality learning experience for students in grades 5 through 12. They facilitate teacher-provided lesson plans, maintain classroom routines and expectations, and foster a positive, productive learning environment. Depending on the needs of the day, substitutes may cover a range of subjects and grade levels.
