About The Position
This position involves teaching students utilizing the Early Childhood Model of Instruction, implementing substitute lessons to meet the needs of all students, and following all IEPs. The role requires ensuring appropriate opening and closing of the daily program, following emergency procedures and school policies, and completing necessary paperwork. Communication with families is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Current Special Education teacher, Classroom Teacher, Instructional Coach, or Teacher with certification in Special Education: PK-2, K-3
Responsibilities
- Teach students utilizing Early Childhood Model of Instruction
- Implement substitute lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Follow all IEPs (Individualized Educational Plans)
- Record daily attendance
- Ensure appropriate opening and closing of daily program
- Follow emergency procedures
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Complete paperwork as needed
- Communicate with families
- Other duties assigned by administrator or summer site supervisor
