About The Position

Substitute Program Leaders work part-time at different sites throughout the region, with assignments based on their availability. They work with assigned groups of students, with student-to-staff ratios contingent on CDC guidelines. The role serves as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor, and requires a genuine interest in students’ growth and development and in providing a safe, nurturing environment. Leaders use leadership, communication, and patience to establish authority and connections and provide students with stability and support.
