About The Position
Acelero Learning is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to collaborate with classroom teachers and support the successful operation of a classroom. The role supports children’s social and emotional development, encourages family involvement in the Head Start program, and follows organizational policies and procedures for health, safety, nutrition, and center operations. The position is based at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Cudahy South Center and is expected to begin in Fall 2026. The listed pay is $15.96 per hour.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or have already completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute certification.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development, using positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage families’ involvement in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
