About The Position
Acelero Learning is seeking an on-call Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education programs. The role works collaboratively with classroom teachers to help ensure successful classroom operations and support children, families, and the community. The position is listed for Winter 2026 at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Green Street Center, with pay of $15.86 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and written skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or have already completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred, or an associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage family involvement in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures concerning health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
