About The Position
Acelero Learning is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to work collaboratively with teachers to support the successful operation of a classroom and contribute to positive outcomes for children and families. The role focuses on supporting children’s social and emotional development, encouraging family involvement in the Head Start program, and following policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and center operations. The position is expected to begin in Fall 2026 at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Teutonia Center and pays $15.96 per hour.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already have completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development and use positive guidance approaches when addressing challenging behaviors.
- Encourage the involvement of children’s families in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
