About The Position
Acelero Learning is hiring an on-call Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education programs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role provides experience and transferable skills in early childhood education while contributing to positive outcomes for children and families. The substitute works collaboratively with classroom teachers to help ensure successful classroom operations and support children’s social and emotional development. The position is listed for Fall 2026 and pays $15.96 per hour.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already have completed it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development, using positive guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
- Encourage the involvement of families in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
