About The Position

Acelero Learning is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education and help children, families, and communities thrive. The role works collaboratively with classroom teachers to support the successful operation of a classroom, children’s social and emotional development, family involvement, and compliance with center policies. The position is at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Cudahy South Center, beginning in Fall 2026, and pays $15.96 per hour. Requirements

• Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
• Effective communication and written skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already having completed it.

Nice To Haves

• Substitute Certification preferred, or an associate degree or bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
• Support children’s social and emotional development, using positive-guidance approaches to address challenging behaviors.
• Encourage family involvement in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
• Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
