About The Position
Golden Pond Schools, a Cadence Education Academy, is seeking an energetic, creative Substitute Preschool Teacher to help create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The role supports the school’s educational philosophy and research-based curriculum, working alongside educators to foster children’s learning and development. The position is based in Ashburn, Virginia.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
- Must be flexible and available to step in during business hours.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.
Responsibilities
- Work with educators to deliver a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence Education’s philosophy.
- Document children’s daily milestones and share updates with parents.
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to create engaging learning experiences.
- Observe children’s interests, maintain their safety, and extend their play through language, toys, and activities.
- Encourage children’s social skills and positive behaviors.
- Help plan and carry out a varied daily schedule, including quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences.
