About The Position
Acelero Learning is hiring a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support early childhood education and help improve outcomes for children and families. The role works collaboratively with teachers to ensure the successful operation of an assigned classroom and to support children’s development and family engagement. The position is based at Acelero Learning Wisconsin’s Walton Center and is expected to begin in Fall 2026. Compensation is $15.96 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Commitment and passion for working with children and families.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete the Introduction to Childcare Profession Certification, or already hold it.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center.
- Support children’s social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches to challenging behaviors.
- Encourage the involvement of children’s families in the Head Start program and support relationships between children and their families.
- Follow Acelero Learning policies and procedures related to health, safety, nutrition, and other aspects of center operations.
