By managing critical supplier production for the Vertical Launching System (VLS), you will directly support the delivery of essential domestic and international defense capabilities, ensuring national security through supply chain excellence. As a Subcontract Administrator for the Vertical Launching System (VLS) sourcing team, you will manage major supplier production efforts to support critical domestic and international programs. In this role, you will coordinate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of procurement strategies and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant experience in subcontract administration, procurement, purchasing, or buying experience
  • Must be able to work onsite at Lockheed Martin Moorestown, NJ facility 50% of the time
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of standard contract types
  • Some experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Department of Defense (DoD) Programs
  • Bachelors degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute subcontract administration, procurement, and purchasing activities to support VLS program goals.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost and schedule.
  • Apply working knowledge of standard contract types to manage supplier agreements effectively.
  • Utilize experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Department of Defense (DoD) programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate onsite activities at the Moorestown, NJ facility and conduct travel as required to support supplier engagements.
