About The Position

Under direct supervision of the Sub Shop Foreman and the Shop Supervisor, the Sub Shop Hand ensures that incoming subs are washed, redressed, torqued, and tested before returning to the field. The role also involves preparing orders for shipment, maintaining shop equipment and work areas, assisting with supplies and equipment, and following company safety policies. The employee may operate forklifts, pressure washers, test pumps, and other shop equipment.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Basic mechanical skills.
Valid driver's license.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl, and walk; the role may involve long periods of standing or sitting.
Must be flexible to work any schedule based on business needs, including weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.
Must pass pre-employment screening, testing, and job-relevant hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

Load and unload subs from wash tables.
Power wash subs.
Thread test subs.
Begin the redressing process, including brushing faces and inside ports, and handling O-rings, insert feed through, and retainer nuts.
Torque and test subs and ensure they are ready to go to the field.
Prepare and wrap orders for shipment the following day.
Install and maintain equipment by painting, repairing, cleaning, and testing it.
Operate forklifts, pressure washers, test pumps, and other shop equipment as required.
Assist with loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Assist with cleaning the shop area and yard.
Know, understand, and observe company safety policies and best practices.
Recognize and manage hazards and demonstrate safe work habits.
Offer support and assistance to other employees in the shop.
Perform other duties as assigned.
