About The Position

Meyer Truck Equipment is hiring a full-time Shop Assistant/Quality Control team member in Evansville, Indiana. The role ensures completed vehicles meet quality standards and are prepared for delivery. It also supports shop and office cleanliness and organization, inventory and staging, vehicle monitoring and movement, and general shop tasks. The position involves handling tools and equipment, transporting parts and vehicles, helping with deliveries, and assisting paint, spray-in bed liner, and installation work as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with daytime hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and an eight-hour shift. The hourly pay is $15–$17, based on experience. Optional overtime is available, and weekends are not required.

Responsibilities

Perform quality-control checks on completed vehicles and prepare them for delivery using checklists and required documentation.
Maintain shop and office cleanliness, including removing trash and managing cardboard recycling.
Assist with inventory management and stage items for installation.
Monitor vehicle status, reposition vehicles as needed, and ensure secure parking.
Keep common areas inside and outside the shop clean and organized.
Stock and reorganize parts in the shop and showroom.
Transport parts and vehicles as needed.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
Assist paint, spray-in bed liner, and installation work as needed.
