About The Position

The Stylist at Johnny Was is a luxury sales professional and brand ambassador who delivers a personalized, elevated client experience while driving individual and store sales results. The role combines styling expertise, relationship-building, sales performance, and operational support. The Stylist helps create an inspiring boutique experience that reflects the Johnny Was aesthetic and values, supports store leadership, and contributes to smooth day-to-day operations. The Stylist builds long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling, outreach, appointment selling, and follow-up. They demonstrate product knowledge and support sales through in-store, online, and client outreach opportunities. The role also involves maintaining brand presentation, supporting visual merchandising and events, and carrying out boutique operations such as opening and closing, POS transactions, shipment processing, replenishment, and inventory management.

Requirements

2–3+ years of luxury, contemporary, or premium retail sales experience preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and performance metrics.
Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
Passion for fashion, craftsmanship, and styling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver an elevated, personalized client experience that reflects the Johnny Was aesthetic and lifestyle.
Build long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling and outreach during and after purchases.
Maintain and grow an active client book through consistent follow-up and appointment selling.
Demonstrate product knowledge, including fabrication, fit, craftsmanship, and seasonal storytelling.
Anticipate client needs and resolve concerns professionally and urgently.
Support store events, trunk shows, and community activations to drive traffic and client engagement.
Achieve and exceed individual sales goals and KPI targets, including sales volume, transactions, UPT, AUR, AOV, client acquisition, and client retention.
Drive omnichannel sales through in-store, online, and client outreach opportunities.
Use CRM and clienteling tools to track performance and maximize repeat business.
Represent the Johnny Was lifestyle and values and maintain a polished, luxury-appropriate personal presentation.
Uphold company policies, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Support visual merchandising and maintain salesfloor presentation in line with brand storytelling and seasonal direction.
Oversee boutique operations independently as needed and communicate effectively with clients, peers, and management.
Accurately execute POS transactions, cash handling, alarms, and security procedures.
Open and close the store according to company standards and compliance requirements.
Assist with shipment processing, stock replenishment, and inventory management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment.
