About The Position

This is a temporary 90-day position for individuals aspiring to become stylists. The role focuses on learning the business while delivering exceptional customer service across all communication channels. The position is located inside Walmart Super Centers, offering immediate clientele due to high foot traffic. The company provides ongoing education and a supportive culture.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) within or before 90 days of the hire date.
Possess a valid appropriate license in the applicable state of employment.
Ability to perform duties required by state license, including cutting, styling, coloring, providing wax treatments, and washing/perming hair.
Demonstrate Regis values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.
Great judgment and time management skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment.
Strong communication skills with customers, coworkers, and management.
Tech savvy to use point-of-sale systems and enter data.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Comfortable with lifting up to 10 lbs. to stock retail shelves.
Occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs. to assist in unloading monthly shipment of products.
Ability to be on your feet for most of the day.
Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
Availability to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

Learn the business operations and expense control by observing other stylists and managers.
Greet customers and answer the phone.
Maintain salon cleanliness and follow safety standards.
Potentially be eligible for promotion to a stylist position upon receiving a license.
