About The Position

The Student Worker- Social Media Coordinator supports Regent University’s Student Engagement Team by covering student events and creating social media content. The role also contributes to event planning and delivery, including the Recognition Program, and provides a student perspective on ways to increase engagement. The position involves interacting with students, faculty, and university staff, completing assigned tasks promptly, and assisting with other team projects as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to produce quality video content within a short time frame and use editing software.
• Ability to work with social media, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite, including Instagram, Facebook, Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, and Canvas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong initiative and efficiency in completing work with limited supervision.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend and cover multiple student events through social media, photography, and interviews.
• Create video and static content, including Reels, Instagram posts, graphics, and posters.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Student Engagement Team in a timely manner.
• Help plan and carry out events with the Student Engagement Team, including the Recognition Program.
• Provide insight from a student’s perspective on increasing student engagement.
• Interview and interact with university staff, faculty, and students.
• Assist the Student Engagement Team with other projects as needed.
