About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Student Worker for the Fleet department. This role involves supporting and promoting GCU's Doctrinal Statement, executing weekly event operations, and presenting information to guests. The student will be responsible for ensuring a positive and safe experience for guests and adhering to the fleet driving schedule to maintain punctuality. Communication with Fleet dispatch and drivers is essential for managing schedule changes. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• Acceptable driving record and driver license
• Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (Flexible up to 20 hours)
• Open weekend availability is a must

Nice To Haves

• Experience with youth, preferably in a camp environment
• Flexibility and enthusiasm a must
• Excellent communication skills
• Outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of various groups
• Campus living and extracurricular activities within GCU strongly preferred to be able to provide first-hand experience to visitors

Responsibilities

• Support and promote GCU’s Doctrinal Statement
• Execute weekly event operations
• Present on trained information to groups of guests
• Provide positive and safe experience for guests
• Follow the fleet driving schedule to ensure shuttles are on time
• Communicate with Fleet dispatch and drivers when changes are needed
• Additional Tasks as assigned
