About The Position

Reporting to the Head Coach or designee, the Student Worker will support the athletics program both on the playing field and administratively. This role requires the individual to be a team player, working with coaches, athletic staff, student-athletes, and several institutional departments. The position also requires providing a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Requirements

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
Must be willing to work as a team member as position entails working with, coaches, athletic staff, student-athletes, and several institutional departments.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

Assisting coaches in on-field drills during practice and out-of-season workouts.
Assisting with administrative tasks.
Assisting in field/court setup.
Assisting with recruiting database management and distribution.
Assisting with scouting reports and video coordinating.
Assisting with scheduling.
Assisting with team travel and meals.
Assisting with Summer camp preparation.
Assisting with equipment staff with laundry, ordering and distribution of apparel.
Completing special projects as assigned by the coaches and noncoaching staff.
Performing other duties as assigned.
