FWS Student Worker, Akron Bookstore
About The Position
This is a federal work study student worker position at the Akron College Store. Store hours vary and work hours will be scheduled around classes. Hours are generally Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. -6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. Retail experience preferred. Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires. This process will be conducted in accordance with I-9 verification and will be done promptly upon hire for all incoming employees. Candidates selected for employment must either reside in Ohio or be willing to relocate to Ohio.

- Federal Work Study eligibility (verify with Financial Aid office)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities
- Assist with all tasks at the Akron College Store: processing customer sales with accuracy
- Checking in new inventory with careful attention to detail
- Proactively cleaning and stocking shelves
- Helping student customers with enthusiasm
