About The Position

The Student Worker – Admission Support Assistant is responsible for assisting with and reviewing documents for secondary admissions programs, specifically within the CAS/WebAdmit systems. This role involves collecting information from new and returning students to ensure secondary admissions files are completed accurately and on time, including transfer transcripts and other required documents. The position will process student CAS applications, transcripts, short answers, and letters of recommendation. Additionally, the role supports enrollment efforts related to Secondary Admissions, CAS/WebAdmit, Common App, and State-Specific Program Research.

  • Ability to work in a team environment collaboratively and cohesively, multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
  • Must attach current GCU class schedule with resume and completed application.
  • Must submit a resume, current GCU class and activity schedules, and complete the application to be considered.

  • Call center experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the secondary admission processes as needed for MSCMHC, MEdSC, MSW, and BSW.
  • Responsible for the secondary admissions processes for all WebAdmit/CAS programs, including CSDCAS, DICAS, ATCAS, OTCAS, and Common App.
  • Completes all necessary process steps in accordance with GCU’s workflow, policies, and requirements.
  • Reviews all applications in accordance with applicable deadlines.
  • Performs quality review of documentation to ensure program requirements are met, documents are legible, and the file is complete.
  • Updates system statuses to ensure an accurate reflection of the state of student admission files.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assists in reviewing and training new hires and teammates.
  • Maintains confidential student information (i.e. FERPA).
