About The Position

In this role, you'll be the welcoming face of UniSC, serving as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. You will manage enquiries, deliver exceptional front-of-house support, and actively participate in student engagement initiatives. The position emphasizes professional communication and accurate record-keeping to foster a positive and supportive experience that enhances student success and contributes to the university's broader objectives. There may be a requirement to work non-standard hours, and recreational leave may be restricted during peak periods.

Requirements

An Associate Diploma, combined with experience in a customer-focused environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
Demonstrated experience and ability to recognize and respond appropriately to a range of student inquiries.
An understanding of the challenges that might arise supporting students in distress.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to show empathy, maintain confidentiality, and resolve conflicts professionally.
Digitally savvy with strong experience using CRM systems.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and juggle competing priorities.
Strengths in building strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to develop practical solutions and take initiative.

Responsibilities

Effectively manage student, staff, and visitor matters received via phone, email, and face-to-face enquiries.
Proactively refer students to relevant specialist staff and follow up if required.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and clients through professional communications and efficient use of electronic records systems.
