About The Position
Join our New York Campus as a Student Support Assistant! You’ll play a key role in providing academic and behavioral support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Requirements
- Must be living in the USA and authorized to work here.
- College or University diploma
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the student's educational and personal development.
Nice To Haves
- Additional coursework in education, special education or Applied Behavioural Analysis preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and behavioral support for a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- May be required to teach directed studies courses such as English and Math curricula as developed by a certified teacher.
- Collaborate with the local team to address the student's needs and support inclusive instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and activities.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
