The Student Success Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of BiGI (The Black InGenius Initiative) within the School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) at the University of San Diego (USD). This full-time temporary, benefit-based position, anticipated to end on June 30, 2027, is renewable at the discretion of the University and dependent upon performance and continued funding. The coordinator will be responsible for implementing strategies to enhance student engagement, academic success, and overall student experience within the BiGI program. This role demands a proactive approach to student support, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to advocacy for underrepresented students. BiGI was created in response to long-standing disparities in educational access, opportunity, and outcomes experienced by the Black community in San Diego County, and serves all students who face disproportionality in educational access and outcomes. BiGI prepares sixth through 12th grade students for college or university with the confidence, preparation, and skills needed to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
