About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Student Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation and documentation of patient care. The Student RN selects and administers the appropriate nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of North Canyon Medical Center, as well as the scope of practice as set by the Idaho Board of Nursing taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and size of the patient. Provides a compassionate relationship that facilitates health and healing. The Student RN also coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. The Student RN may NOT act in the capacity of charge nurse. The Student RN monitors, evaluates and takes action on patient care issues, and workload assignments in collaboration with other health care providers both intra-facility and inter-facility as well as outside agencies and resources.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension, and oral and written expression.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, chaotic work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Aide in state of Idaho and current BLS certification preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title.

Responsibilities
