About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Student Part-Time Professor to teach PAP4350 - Project Management in the Public Sector during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers the fundamentals of project management, including project design, coordination, and evaluation in the public sector, as well as methods and techniques of project management. The course is intended for PhD students and will be offered online in a scheduled, synchronous format with live instruction. The University offers training in online course delivery. Teaching methods may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Ph.D. coursework in the field of the course.
  • Teaching experience in the field.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the topic of this course.
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
  • Competence in a second language (active).

  • Candidates who have never taught a course at the University of Ottawa are recommended to submit information describing their previous training or experience with teaching.
  • A letter of intent that demonstrates knowledge of the topic of this course will be considered.
