About The Position

This posting is for a Student Part-Time Professor for the course DVM6503 Conflit, transitions et paix (3 credits) during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course will be delivered in person on the Main Campus. The course explores the relationships between insecurity, transitions, peace, and development, focusing on debates linking development and security, or conversely, insecurity, conflict, and development. It examines critical perspectives on the connection between security and development, issues related to human (in)security, and current debates in transition and peace. The course format is a seminar, and the schedule is Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The language of instruction is French.

Requirements

  • Completed or in the process of completing a Doctorate in international development or a related field.
  • Submit a draft course outline (one to two pages) indicating how the course expectations will be met.
  • The draft course outline must address: critical perspectives on the connection between development and (in)security, and current debates in transition and peace.
