The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach DVM 3535 Sécurité alimentaire et développement international (Food Security and International Development) for the 2027 Winter Semester. This course, worth 3 credits, will be delivered in person on the Main Campus. The course covers topics such as land, food, and culture from production to consumption, natural resource management, hunger and famines, peasant and industrial agriculture, Green Revolution technologies and GMOs, food aid, consumer-producer alliances, food sovereignty, fair trade, and alternative production models. The course is a lecture-based course and has a prerequisite of 54 university credits, including DVM 2505 and DVM 2506. The course schedule is Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 9:50 AM.
